At the heart of this bundle is Saraswati — the Hindu goddess of wisdom, creativity, and the arts — interpreted through layered watercolor monotype and gel plate printing.
You'll move from botanical observation and first transparent layers, through symbolic composition and expressive texture, toward a finished piece that is entirely your own.
Everything is guided by my Attentive Making process: Notice. Gather. Print. Layer. Reflect.
You don't need to replicate what I make. You need to show up, follow your own plants, and let the process lead.
We’ll work slowly, allowing the piece to guide us. I’ll show you how to trace your drawing with ease, using simple techniques and gentle methods of transferring your portrait onto richly textured paper. Then we’ll step into the gentle, meditative process of monotype printing with real leaves and flowers. There’s a beautiful surprise in every reveal. I’ll encourage you to listen deeply—not just to the materials, but to your own rhythm and quiet joy. You don’t need to follow my exact plants or colors—I’ll share my choices, but you’re warmly invited to respond to what’s around you, what speaks to you in your own environment.
What we’ll explore in the main lesson:
Create a symbolic portrait of Saraswati using simple transfer methods and expressive, intuitive linework.
Explore monotype printing with real plants to reveal delicate, surprising botanical textures in your background.
Work with natural color harmony by layering warm and cool tones that emerge organically through the process.
Shape volume and light with watercolor and pencil to bring soft shading and sculptural depth to the portrait.
Incorporate spiritual and cultural symbols like the lotus, mandala, and Devanagari script to enrich your composition.
Blend spontaneity with refinement by letting nature guide the process while enhancing key elements with care.
In the gel plate session 1:
Learn gel plate printing with botanical elements to create richly textured backgrounds full of natural beauty.
Use handmade stencils inspired by Saraswati’s symbols to build bold, layered compositions.
Explore the balance between graphic forms and organic textures for a deeply expressive final result.
Play with repetition and contrast to evoke a contemporary yet spiritual atmosphere.
Create with intention while staying open to surprises in this meditative, experimental printmaking process.
Gain confidence in working abstractly while still anchoring your work in meaningful symbolism.
In the gel plate session 2:
Experiment with everyday objects to create spontaneous patterns using household items instead of traditional stencils.
Print on copy and rice paper for a light, fluid, and responsive surface that captures delicate textures beautifully.
Embrace imperfection and play, letting intuition guide your layering, lifting, and printing process.
Reuse familiar plant materials in new, looser compositions that evolve with each pull from the gel plate. Cultivate presence and flow by allowing the unexpected to shape your artwork organically.
Honor Saraswati’s creative energy through resourcefulness, experimentation, and the joy of making without rules.
How you'll learn:
🎨 Follow the complete creative process
Throughout the workshop, I'll explain not only what I'm doing, but why I'm making each artistic decision—inviting you into the way I think as I create.
🌿 Understand the principles behind the technique
You'll learn how transparent watercolor layers create depth, how color harmony influences mood, how botanical textures become part of the composition, and how thoughtful artistic choices gradually transform a painting.
✨ Develop your own creative voice
My goal isn't simply to help you complete this artwork. It's to help you understand artistic principles, build creative confidence, and develop an approach you can carry into your own future work.
Materials
See full materials list inside the workshop.
Most materials are simple and adaptable — watercolor paper, paints, brushes, and plants you find around you.
You are always welcome to work with what you already have. The focus is attentive observation and layered discovery, not exact replication.
Student Gallery
Every artwork tells a different story.
Every artist develops a unique voice. My role isn't to shape yours—it's to help you discover it.
These artworks were created by students following the same workshop. Although everyone began with the same artistic principles, every piece became a personal interpretation.
My hope is that you'll leave not just with a finished painting, but with artistic understanding you can carry into your own creative practice.

Leslie
"While waiting for the recommended paper, I created a practice piece using watercolor pencils, gel pens and a collaged napkin background...I couldn't wait to continue with the botanical impressions."

Lin
"My motivation was low and I almost gave up. I simply took little steps... and somehow magic happened. I finished the painting feeling tired—but deeply satisfied."

Gina
"This workshop gave me a thousand ideas. I can't wait to start another piece with the plants from my own garden."

In Divine Flow workshop, she invites you into her own artistic process—using watercolor monotype and gel plate printing to create expressive, symbolic works inspired by Saraswati.
Need help? FAQ
Do I need experience with monotype or gel plate printing? No. If you've tried the free lesson, you already have everything you need. If you're completely new, these sessions are designed to welcome you.
Is this a step-by-step workshop? You'll follow my complete creative process from beginning to end. Rather than a "paint-along" workshop designed to produce identical results, I explain the artistic thinking behind each step—composition, layering, color harmony, observation, symbolism, and creative decisions. My hope is that you'll finish with both a completed artwork and a deeper understanding of how artists think.
Do I need exact materials? No. I'll share what I use, but you're always invited to adapt to what you have. The process matters more than the supplies.
How long do I have access? Lifetime access — yours to keep, as long as I'm here making art.
What is your refund policy? This is a digital product with immediate access — like a book you've already opened. If something isn't working technically, just email me and I'll sort it out.
